The eighth and final governance experiment from August and September was our biggest yet, with far-reaching consequences for the HOPR ecosystem 🤯 For those who missed it, the tl;dr… A new trust is being established to control HOPR community funds The trust’s purpose will be to follow the governance processes published on-chain, so it will be legally required to act on the instructions on tokenholders An upgrade to our processes will be familiar to anyone who has participated in HOPR governance before, but adds important new protections against governance attacks 🔐 Finally, a new governance platform will be established to make it easier and safer to participate in governance 😃 While this platform is initially designed to serve HOPR, we hope it will be useful to the wider web3 ecosystem 🚀 Development is underway, and the goal is to have an MVP ready to process the first truly decentralized HOPR governance by December Thanks to everyone who participated!
